Region 2 is one of the few remaining regional shows initiated by AQHA to provide a top quality horse event across the United States and Canada.
The Region 2 Championship Committee is working hard to bring you the 2026 AQHA Regional Show in Rapid City, South Dakota this September 16-20, 2026. This American Quarter Horse Association Regional Championship show draws exhibitors from over 14 states and 3 Canadian providences! The Region 2 show averages 2000 entries with over 300 horses stalled on the grounds. This will be the 20th year for the Region 2 Championship and is one of the most successful Regional shows in the country, in large part due to sponsors like you!
Your sponsorship helps provide the Region 2 exhibitors a chance to compete in an upper level show that awards prizes for the first 10 places. Region 2 proudly awards a hand engraved Montana Silversmith belt buckle to the winner of each class and many exhibitors win their first championship buckle at this show! Region 2 is the only Regional Championship show that still awards belt buckles and prizes for every class! In order to award prizes of this caliber that our exhibitors enjoy so much and work toward, we must ask for sponsorships. There are many levels of sponsorship from Platinum $2000 to a class sponsorship of $150, levels to fit every budget as you will see in the enclosed brochure. Sponsorships will be announced during the show, broadcast on our webcast through Kicking S videos, plus receive recognition on our Facebook page and webpage.
We offer Rookie, Level 1/2/3 classes. Our class list includes: halter, showmanship, western riding, trail, reining, ranch riding, ranch trail, barrels, poles, english, western pleasure and working cow horse! We also offer a FREE clinic with an AQHA professional horseman and cover a variety of classes. Plus we offer 3 AQHA judges for the AQHA pointed portion of the show!
While our world has been overturned and many horse shows cancelled, Region 2 is working tirelessly towards bringing our exhibitors a fun, safe and family friendly horse show.
